Highlights
WT901’s scientific name is the AHRS IMU sensor. A sensor measures 3-axis angle, angular velocity, acceleration, magnetic field. WitMotion WT901 integrates a high-precision gyroscope, accelerometer, and geomagnetic field sensor, and adopts a high-performance microprocessor, advanced dynamics fusion algorithm, and Kalman dynamic filtering algorithm to quickly analyze the module’s current real-time motion posture.
- By WitMotion advanced digital filtering technology, the sensor can effectively reduce measurement noise and improve measurement accuracy
- With its in-built posture solver and the dynamic Kalman filter algorithm, the sensor can accurately output the current posture of the product in a dynamic environment. The measurement accuracy of the X and Y axis can reach 0.05°, and the stability is extremely high.

Note: Z-axis angle will be affected by magnetic field. It is required to calibrate and keep the sensor at least 20cm away from the stuff like metal that may create magnetic field interference.

Free & Genuinely Useful Software
Compared with traditional sensor’s simplified serial software, WITMOTION software offers several advantages over competing sensor:

Notice: There is no software for the Linux, Python, or Mac system at present. Witmotion software is provided as free, compatible with the Windows system only, including Win 10, 8, 7, XP.
3D DEMO
More intuitive to view the sensor’s motion state. There are 4 types of simulation, car, head, plane, cube. The source code of 3D can be provided if customers have needs.
Use Instructions with Windows PC:
- Download the complete tutorial and unzip the file, follow the instructions of the manual or video demo (There will be an instruction card printed with two QR codes indicating the document download link, one is Google Drive, another is Github. )
- Wiring Connection: USB-TTL serial converter cable (recommended cable ASIN: B07WG7MQRM ) PIN instruction: VCC-5V, GND-GND, RX crossly connecting with TX, TX crossly connecting with RX.
- Install the driver of CH340, open the software (Minimu.exe), the connection succeeds after auto-search finishes

Compared with traditional acceleration sensors, by simply changing its setting on software, various kinds of the configuration of the WitMotion sensor can be easily done. Configuring the device enables the customer to address a broad variety of use cases by applying the sensor data filtered by WITMOTION algorithms. It is recommended to proceed calibration if there is data drift.
