Product Description
SodaPup Bottle Top Flyer Retrieving Frisbee
Your dog wants nothing more than to play with you and many dogs love to catch things that fly. Our dogs are bonkers for our flyers, which fly straight and far. SodaPup flyers are not only fun, but they also provide good mental and physical exercise for your dog. They’re especially great for dogs that have lots of excess energy. What’s more, they’re a wonderful way for you to strengthen your bond with your fur baby, help them build confidence, and teach them self-control.
The beauty of our rubber flyers is that they won’t hurt your dog’s teeth and gums like a plastic frisbee can. Our proprietary natural rubber material is soft and safe for your dog. While not a chew toy, our flyers are also exceptionally durable. Hard flying discs are more easily destroyed by power chewers. They’re also harder for your dog to grab when they’re lying flat on the ground. Our flexible rubber flyer is designed with a tall edge that has a slight undercut, creating a spot for the dog to get a hold of. This unique design and flexible rubber material makes it much easier for dogs to pick up off the ground. Our products provide tremendous value because they’re built to last. So go ahead and give your pups a thrill with these flyers!
There are several factors to consider when choosing a flying disc. Here are some guidelines to help you find the right flyer for our pet:
Rigid vs. Flexible: There are two types of flying discs available on the market: rigid (hard) and flexible (soft). Both are acceptable choices, and each have their strengths & weaknesses. Hard discs are the primary type used by serious aficionados. The main issue with hard flyers is that they can hurt your dog’s gums and possibly break their teeth. This may be especially problematic for small dogs. Hard flying discs can also be more difficult for your dog to grab when lying flat on the ground. They’re also more easily destroyed by power chewers. Given all the disadvantages of hard flyers, SodaPup designed our flying discs to be flexible, using our proprietary natural rubber material. This soft and pliable material won’t hurt your dog’s teeth and gums like hard discs can. It also makes it much easier for dogs to grip and pick up off the ground.
Weight: All else being equal, the heavier the disc the farther and straighter it will fly. However, heavier discs are harder to catch. The optimal flyer is heavy enough to fly far, but not so heavy that it’s hard for your dog to catch. Good dog discs are easy to throw and fly well. If you’re unable to throw the toy well, your dog will struggle to learn to catch it. Afterall, a good catch requires a good throw! When we designed our discs, we made sure to strike the right balance in terms of flexibility and weight to not only make them heavy enough to fly far and straight, but also make them easier to throw and catch.
Durability: Throwing discs must be durable enough to withstand the wear and tear of frequent use with your dog. Cheap, low-quality discs will likely fall apart before you can get good value from them. SodaPup’s rubber flyers, made from our proprietary power chewer compound, are designed to take a beating. Our Large Magnum flyer, available only in our signature black formula, is the most durable option in our product line. Even though our flyers are exceptionally durable, they’re not meant to be used as chew toys.
