Does this usb c docking plug and play？
No, the driver(displaylink driver) installation is required. Please follow the driver download links(wavlink.com/en_us/search.html?key=39pd1&type=driver) to download the latest driver. ONLY plug and play for Chrome OS, Window 10/11.
If I only have laptop with USB-A 3.0 port connected to this dock, what features won’t work?
The charging function and one of bottom HDMI port will not work. In other words, dual-display(hdmi and DVI/VGA) work can only be performed through the displaylink chip.
Do all laptop with type c port support charging/video output?
Not all USB-C computers are able to charge through their USB-C port, please ensure your thunderbolt 3/usb c port of laptop supports power delivery and video output functions, or the charging function and one of bottom HDMI port will not work.

Via USB C DisplayPort Alternate Mode Output(HDMI Port):
The HDMI port on the bottom is output via USB C Alt mode, the maximum resolution is 3840×2160@30Hz (4K@30HZ), 2560×1600, 1920×1080 (1080p) and lower resolutions will be displayed at 60Hz.
